- Perform vehicle measuring
- Measurement of the vehicle is completed without causing damage to any component or system.
- Equipment selected for vehicle measuring is to vehicle manufacturer/component supplier specifications.
- Equipment used for vehicle measuring is prepared and adjusted in accordance with equipment manufacturer/ component supplier specification.
- Vehicle is prepared and, installed/located on the equipment in accordance with equipment manufacturer/component supplier instructions.
- Nature and extent of misalignment is determined using approved measuring methods.
- Results of measurements of vehicle alignment are documented accurately and completely.
- Measuring activities are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OH&S legislation, and enterprise procedures/policies.
- Rectify body and underframe misalignment
- Equipment selected for rectification of alignment is to vehicle manufacturer/component supplier specification.
- Equipment used for rectification of alignment is prepared and adjusted in accordance with equipment manufacturer/ component supplier specification.
- Vehicle to be aligned is prepared and, installed/located on the alignment equipment in accordance with equipment manufacturer/component supplier instructions.
- Hydraulic repair equipment is prepared and attached using equipment manufacturer/component supplier approved methods.
- Hydraulic repair equipment is operated using approved methods and techniques.
- Alignment of item is reinstated to manufacturer/ component supplier specification and tolerances.
- Rectifying of body and underframe misalignment is completed without causing damage to any component or system.
- Reinstatement activities are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OH&S legislation, and enterprise procedures/policies.
- Clean up work area and maintain equipment
- Material that can be reused is collected and stored.
- Waste and scrap is removed following workplace and environmental procedures.
- Equipment and work area are cleaned and inspected for serviceable condition in accordance with workplace procedures.
- Unserviceable equipment is tagged and faults identified in accordance with workplace requirements.
- Operator maintenance is completed in accordance with manufacturer/component supplier specifications and worksite procedures.
- Tooling is maintained in accordance with workplace procedures.
